Here’s How You Can Stop Climate Change and Save the World From The Upcoming Disaster

Do you know that we have only 20 years left to save the earth from the massive devastation of climate change before there’s no turning back?

That’s right. If we don’t take immediate action to reduce carbon emission by 40% within 2030, we may not have a second shot at saving the world anymore, according to NRDC.

The result would be extreme floods, deadly hurricanes, devastating wildfires, increased epidemics, and the list goes on. And these natural disasters will cease to be nature’s exception and will be more like normal seasonal markers, as regular as changing of the leaves or snowfall while winter.

And regardless of what people believe, only 15% of total greenhouse gas emissions are the result of deforestation.

So just saving the existing trees won’t fix the climate change and it can’t stop the disaster that is coming.

But it doesn’t have to end this way.

If we take certain measures, which won’t take more than a few minutes of our daily lives, then we can stop it. Then we can save this planet.

…And it starts with you.

You can save this world.

And it doesn’t have to be time-consuming or hard. Even small efforts by you can leave a huge impact that will change the fate of the world.

So without further ado, here are some easy ways you can help to stop climate change and save the earth.

1. Plant More Trees

Save trees by planting them.

Just saving the existing trees, while important, can not effectively slow down climate change.

But planting new trees can.

Yes, that’s right. The solution is to plant new trees. And it doesn’t have to be hard or awfully time-consuming.

You can start simply by planting a small tree in your garden. You can even start with a small flower plant in a pot and keep it near your window.

These small contributions can really go a long way. Even if half of the American families start planting a tree every year, there would be 500 million new trees in the U.S. alone after a decade. And that alone is enough to absorb up to 24 billion tons of carbon dioxide which is one of the most contributing greenhouse gases in global warming.

So plant a tree this year and help the planet to fight climate change and stay green.

2. Help NGOs and Eco-friendly Companies

Don’t have time to plant and maintain any trees this year?

No problem. As the world around us is running at the speed of light, it can be difficult to focus on planting and maintaining trees.

But this doesn’t mean you can’t contribute to saving the earth.

There are so many NGOs and companies that are taking great initiatives to save trees and fight climate change.

And you can donate a small amount to help the NGOs plant more trees and maintain them. For example, One Tree Planted, a non-profit NGO based in Vermont, is planting one tree for every single dollar you donate them. You can also volunteer some NGOs in their initiatives in your free time to help this world make a better place.

And not only that. There are several companies that are taking up similar initiatives. Some companies even donate some amount of their profit in planting trees and protecting them.

Apache Pine is a wooden watch company that is committed to saving the green. They plant one tree for every single product you buy from them and also donate free meals to help this world make a better place. You can check out their mission statement and what they have done to save trees here.

It is the small efforts and a little support from you and everyone else that ultimately create a huge difference.

3. Save the World by Going Green

Saving the planet and the trees don’t have to be hard or time-consuming. You can save the Earth by doing these everyday things differently that will also save your time and in some cases, your money too.

Here are some great ways you can help to stop climate change and keep the planet green….

Get Rid of the Paper and Go Digital

Pay your bills online and get rid of paper

Why do you need to use paper invoices, printed newsletters, and other bills printed on paper when you can get everything done online? With online bills, e-newsletters, and digital subscriptions, going paperless is easier than ever today.

According to time.com, if every U.S. household viewed and paid their bills online, it would cut solid wastes by 1.6 billion tons and greenhouse gas emissions by 2.1 million tons a year.

By going digital, you’ll not only save a lot of papers and time but you will also save the trees and the environment.

Waste Less Food

Do you know that between 2007 to 2014, U.S. consumers wasted nearly 150,000 tons of food every single day? That’s nearly one pound of food waste per person and it equals about 30% of the average daily calorie consumption.

Surprising, isn’t it?

The study published in the journal PLOS ONE found that 30 million acres of land and 4.2 trillion gallons of water are wasted on food that goes uneaten each year.

Just imagine how much food, water, and land resources you can save by planning your weekly diet chart efficiently. As a result, it helps us keep our planet green and save the world.

Be Aware of Your Water Usage

According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, just by turning the tap off while brushing your teeth can save 8 gallons of water per day, and while shaving, can save 10 gallons of water per shave. So just by turning the tap off while brushing and shaving you can save about 5700 gallons of water every year.

This equals 4.6 years of supply of drinking water for your whole family.

Additionally, taking a shower instead of using the bathtub, reducing the waste of water that happens through leakage(that is almost 900 billion gallons of water wasted annually nationwide through household leakage), and even buying WaterSense labeled products instead of standard models can save more water and make a bigger impact on our environment than you think.

That’s a lot of water saved for such a small but potentially incredible effort.

Keep Your Car at Home When Possible

Our car is an important part of our lives. It enables us to quickly hit the road and get to our desired destination whether it’s our schools, workplaces, our friend’s home, or in some cases, hospitals.

But it’s not really good for our environment. Our cars spit tons of greenhouse gases and other harmful particles in the air every single moment.

So what is a more efficient way we can protect nature without sacrificing our car?

Simple. It is to avoid using your car whenever possible and leave it at your home. If you keep your car off the road for even 2 days a week, you can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1590 pounds per year. Shop for your grocery, get to your friend’s home, buy your medicines, get those flowers for your girlfriend, all at once in just one trip(whenever possible).

When you’re not in rush, you can use a bike or public transportation to reach your destination. Why don’t you just try walking to your destination if it’s not too far away?

This way, you’ll not only get some healthy walks, but it’ll also mean less usage of gas and less greenhouse gas emission. And it is also more friendly to your pocket too. (You save money on your gas. Yeah!)

So what are you waiting for? Start with keeping your car at home 1 day per week right now and save the world. ( And your money too.)

Buy Products From Eco-friendly Companies

Going green with eco-friendly products from brands that really care about our nature and YOU isn’t a luxury anymore. It’s a necessity.

Buying products that contain harmful chemicals are not only dangerous to nature but in some cases, they’re damaging to you too. Also, some products are exhausting our crucial natural resources way too quickly.

That’s why it’s important to use products from eco-friendly brands. This way you’ll not only save trees and the environment but you’ll also live a healthy life. And it doesn’t have to be hard on your pocket.

Here are some great products that can replace your everyday essentials with eco-friendly alternatives without any additional hassle.

These eco-friendly companies, like Apache Pine, are committed to creating high-quality products that are great for you and the environment.

Apart from creating durable and stylish minimalist wooden watches, Apache Pine donates a meal for those who are in need and plant a tree for a more sustainable future for every single watch they sell. And this is, in other words, is you who is helping Apache Pine save trees by buying from them.

You can check out their products by clicking HERE.

You’re gonna buy your everyday essential products anyway. Then why not buy them from eco-friendly brands and contribute to keeping our planet green.

In the end….

It is true that our government is playing a major role to reduce carbon emissions and stopping climate change. But this is not enough.

It’s your small everyday efforts like saving the water, paying bills online, using cars efficiently, and using eco-friendly products that play a major role in saving the world.

You can start by following any one of the above methods and make other people aware of it. (Start with your family members.)

That’s how we can fight global warming and stop climate change, together.

P.S.=> Which of these tips did you find relatively easy and most effective?
